James Farncombe - Lighting Designer

James has lit over 150 productions over the last decade in the UK and abroad.

Recent theatre credits include: Men Should Weep (National, Lyttelton); Glass Menagerie (Young Vic); Kommilitonen! (a new opera by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, a co-production between the Royal Academy of Music and the Julliard School, New York);  Twisted Tales (Lyric, Hammersmith); Plenty (Sheffield Crucible);  Swallows and AmazonsJuliet and her Romeo and Far Away (Bristol Old Vic); The Overcoat (Gecko/Lyric Hammersmith); The Whiskey Taster and Like a Fishbone (Bush), Wanderlust and Village Bike (Royal Court); Dancing at Lughnasa and Little Shop of Horrors (Birmingham Rep); A Day in the Death of Joe Egg and Breaking the Silence (Nottingham Playhouse); Private Fears in Public Places (Northampton Theatre Royal, nominated Best Lighting Design, TMA Awards 2009); The Great Game (Tricycle and US tour) and  'Ghost Stories' won the Whatsonstage Whitelight Best Lighting Award, 2011, and was nominated Best Lighting, TMA Awards 2010.
